I wonder how many times a day God saves me. You know, how many times should I have been killed by a wreckless driver only to be saved by them running out of gas. Or a murderer caught before he did any damage. Just a thought. And when Jesus says, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near," how near is it? That thought is kind of scary. I sin on a daily basis. I don't set out to, but I do. Just goes with the saying, "live like theres no tomorrow." Only I think it puts that sentance in differnt context.

Okay, I just had to write down those thoughts from earlier. Now to what I was gonna write about :) Happy New Year! For me, I have a little less then 3 hours left of my New Years Day. I was trying to avoid the whole recap of last year. I didn't want to relive the start of 2002 for one, plus it could take awhile. But then I was thinking about how far I have come and thought it might be kind of cool. So here is my recap.

Start of 2002:

-I was dating a horrible guy (Bryan). He scared me in many ways but instead of doing anything at first, I lied to other people that I was happy and lied to myself by being in denial.

-Mom was dating a guy I couldn't stand and he was actually living with us.

-Mom had cancer and was going through massive treatments.

-I was yet to be in college after dropping out of highschool

-I was going through one of the most spiritual lows in my life.

Later in 2002:

-I broke up with Bryan in Febuary only to fall for his tricks and start dating him the next day. 2 weeks later I found out he was "to sick" to talk to me on Valentines day but not to sick to call another girl. I was about to break up with him right before he did it to me. We broke up 5 days before our 6 month anniversary. (Mom says hi to my diary right now, nothing to do with my recap). I got a huge relief taken off my shoulders! Oh and the girl he dumped me for broke up with him the next day! That was a bit of an extra bonus.

-Mom became cancer free!!! It was a such a blessing from God! Mom is still cancer free! Prais the Lord.

-My youth pastors wife takes me to enroll in college and gets me started in my first 2 classes! Thank you Carmen!!! She did all that while THINKING I knew she was pregnant but really didn't. Hehe.

Even More Later on in 2002:

-Mom and I decide to move across the country to Virginia Beach, Virginia. We found a great house that was 15 mins from the beach and absolutely awesome.

-All my friends are crushed (especially Alicia, Val and Steven) because of the plans to move.

-Some time during this year my brother has moved out!

-Sr High Camp is awesome and spent a lot of time with Steven. Some lil girl (she was actually around 13 but she was so small!) tells Steven and I that we would make a good couple...trippy!

More Recently in 2002:

-God speaks in forceful ways. Stocks sunk and we lost a bunch of money, which was to be the down payment on the house in VA. We decided to stay in California and stocks go back up! We sold our house, lived with Alicia for awhile and buy our lovely condo. Justin no longer lives with us and Mom has dumped him sometime during all of this!!!

-My relationship with the love of my life, Jesus Christ, has grown with leaps and bounds and my joy is back! I am a totally changed person and have fully recovered from my spiritual slump.

-I make the choice sometime to attend the college of my dreams because I found out I can get the same education then I would from the college on the east coast.

-I apply for a trip to South Africa and get accepted!!!!!!

-The same day I find out I'm aceepted to the South Africa mission trip, my brother announces that he has been called to become a Youth Pastor.

-Steven finds out I have feelings for him (it has been public knowledge pretty much that he has feeling for me) :) We still dont know where to take our relationship because he is a bit (ok 3 years!) younger then me. As of now we are remaining friends.

I guess that brings me to now. This year is truely a new start in many respects! I will be going to South Africa this summer and going away to college this fall. I am so excited to see how my faith grows and where God takes me. This year is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
